Description:

Black head and black striped feathers near the end of its body
Mainly brown/white body
Fairly small

Habitat:

Lived in medium sized trees with leaves that it camouflaged to
Perched at higher branches
Went to the ground to feed among the larger black birds

Species ID Suggestions

I would have to say that it's probably a Northern Mockingbird because it flew to the ground. Was it similar in size to a blue jay?
