I agree that it's probably a wasp moth, but not the Orange Shoulder Wasp Moth (Amata humeralis) in the Brisbane Insects link. The patterns look wrong to me. I've had a look on Lepidoptera Barcode of Life and apparently there are 64 species of Wasp Moths in Australia (Familly Arctiidae, Subfamily Ctenuchinae).
