Field Notes

Description:

Overall deep orange-yellow colored bird. Dark color on top of head, throat, back, tail and wings with a black line before and behind the eye. Large white bar on wings and white edges on wing feathers.

Habitat:

Tall bushy trees.

Been there but not for birds. I haven't seen much email on that area recently. Mostly they are going to Mitchell Canyon, Black Diamon Mines, Valle Vista and Mines Rd.
vibrant colors! I saw hooded orioles recently. Missed so many of the migratory birds this year. Saw the rufous last year.There is a place in pleasant hill which is called Hidden Valley Park. It seems that has a vast variety of migratory birds.
