Field Notes

Description:

The eastern chipmunk is a chipmunk species found in eastern North America. It is the sole living member of the chipmunk subgenus Tamias, sometimes recognized as a separate genus. Wikipedia

Notes:

This spring Chipmunks numbers are way lower than normal. The acorn crop last year wasn't good and may have led to many chipmunks not making it through the winter.
