Description:

A small fern with characters of both parents.

Habitat:

Limestone mortared wall.Remote area of Northumberland.

Notes:

This is the hybrid between two fern species.WALL RUE Asplenium ruta-muraria (third photo)
and MAIDENHAIR SPLEENWORT Asplenium trichomanes
In the second photo the hybrid can be see with Asplenium trichomanes
In the last photo the hybrid can be seen with both parents.
An exceedingly rare hybrid.
