Thia moth is a real beauty !!
I understand. Especially with these incessant cooking shows where the attitude is all about consumption with zero sensitivity towards the rest of life on the planet. Human attitudes to consumption can seem quite repulsive and blindly selfish. For me it always boils down to population control - a subject most don't want to discuss. Growth will be a dirty word - one day.
thanks. the profile pic was done for a "kill all cats" blog entry a year or so back
Well this is Australia. how about a master chef class using orange cup moths and then another night a dish with spotted flower beetles. Specialty bug dining. It is like a map with Beluga breeding grounds on it. Not silly in a place where we harvest krill as a vitamin source for overfed westerners. I have to think about this but to be honest I sickened by the way so many of us just see life as something we can kill and add to our fat bellies. I may just not want to contribute any more. I have given myself a few days to think of this
That would be extreme Stephen. If it's a protest then the absence of something doesn't won't say much. What info here might be useful to such programs?
In a few days I will begin deleting this account. The australian government and the UN are floating the idea of teaching westerners to eat insects as another source of protein. Not with information I supply
I'm leaning towards Re-dotted Emerald (Comostola laesaria)
That's a special find! Good condition too. Well done.
