Field Notes

Notes:

I went to the beach this morning on my bicycle, to, fingers crossed, get some pics of the dolphins in the bay ....... 2 hours, 181 photos plus 1 very large bag of assorted plastic, glass etc. later, I'm heading back on the bicycle, when I hear a bird call that's not familiar. So stop, still astride the bicycle with my bag of re-cycelable garbage to look, then this insect lands on my right arm. Trying not to spook it, I remove the camera from it's case and then have to try and focus and snap one-handed.

Extraordinary job under the circumstances Viv :-)
Thanks Argy! It was so pretty, but if you read my notes, not the easiest photo to take : )
I can't find an ID Viv but here's what it's eyes look like (amazing!) http://www.thaibugs.com/wp-content/gallery/for-thaibugs/neuro%20IMG_1738.jpg
I think it's a lacewing. It sure has lovely colours.
