Description:
Circular pattern in uplifted coral reef (marine terrace).
Habitat:
Tropical; dry coastal strand.
Notes:
Spotted embedded in uplifted reef just back of the high water line along the north shore of Oahu. The small cellular pattern visible with the larger circular structure suggests a fossilized tree, but those cells could just as easily be of marine origin.
