Description:

A small beautiful bird with striking blue colors on the nape, back, and wings, and a nice red-orange color on the breast.

Habitat:

Wooded area

Notes:

I had to sneak up on this guy. He let me get fairly close before flying off.

Thank you Luis! I met up with a falconer (and a birder in general) and another wildlife photographer today, and it was a great day for birding! I have some more photos coming of a fledgling great horned owl (the nest was in someone's front yard!) and a white-breasted nuthatch.
