Field Notes

Description:

With a cap about 25mm wide, this white mushroom had a flaky cap with dark blue-grey skin which was complete on the centre but was broken into soft scales radiating towards the margin.
Gills were white; stipe slightly scaly with a delicate cuff-like annulus.

Habitat:

damp forest floor - eucalyptus forest

Notes:

I believe this is a Leucoagaric sp. It had a distinctly bluish grey colour which distinguished it from L. ooliekirrus aslo growing in the same area.
Resembles the Californian fungus -Lepiota atrodisca
