Penelope rose is a hybrid musk rose that was introduced in 1924 that is remarkably disease resistant.
The rose buds start out shell pink and open into gorgeous white blooms with lemon centers. The flowers are very striking with a lovely rose fragrance.

Penelope rose growth habit is tall, vigorous and bushy, and the disease free foilage is medium green, matte and leathery.

Habitat:

Garden setting in part shade.

Notes:

‘Penelope’ is one of those obliging roses that will bloom even in shade. It’s one of the Pemberton roses, Joseph Pemberton being a British clergyman who bred them in the early twentieth century.
