Field Notes

Description:

A common wildflower native to the southeastern and central United States. Unless it is growing in a large mass it can easily be overlooked due to the extremely small size of the flower (which measures 1/4 - 1/3 of an inch across).

Habitat:

Found growing in my yard in sunny locations.
