Could you please help me identify this? http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/2217018
Thank you very much, Ravi.
These are water lilies, very often confused for the lotus. There are a few differences between the two - the shapes and numbers of the petals and of the leaves. Another feature easy to identify are the leaves, sticking to water surface in the case of water lilies (as in this case above) and butting out of water surface in the case of lotuses. [Check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nelumbo_nucifera for lotuses.]
