Description:

The scientific name for moths and butterflies is Lepidoptera. There are currently over 120,000 species known to man. This little moth looked to be about 1/2" in size from wing tip to wing tip. Blended in with the brown leaves on the forest floor. Was not able to identify it specifically.

Habitat:

This small moth was spotted on a forest trail in Crooked River State Park in St Marys, Georgia.
