Field Notes

Description:

I took this photo with my phone. The green eggs are in large clusters and they where everywhere! The exact location will be updated

Habitat:

On a dirt road/trail in a coniferous forest. They were in a long rut on the side of the trail next to a bog.

Notes:

I would guess they are a frog species. I googled common frogs and the green color is throwing me off

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

Could be spotted salamander eggs. They have a very cool relationship with algae. You can read about it here: http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/notrocketscience/2011/04/05/solar-salamanders-have-algae-in-their-cells/
