Field Notes

Description:

Two Turkey Vultures found roosting on an abandoned house just outside Maine in Minnesota

Habitat:

Perched on an old, abandoned house roof

Notes:

I've seen Turkey Vultures on roadkill and flying overhead but this was the first time I'd seen them roosting or perched on anything before doing nothing more than relaxing, grooming and stretching. I think I watched these two for over 30 minutes until they finally flew off one at a time. I shot a short video but still need to upload it to YouTube.
