Description:

Low growing wildflower. Scalloped leaves without a stalk. Square stem. Lavender colored flowers that can appear red as buds.

Habitat:

Sunken Meadow State Park, New York. Grows in fields, roadsides and waste places.

Notes:

Edible and nutritious! Can be used as a salad green or cooked. Two different cameras account for the color differences in the images.
