Thanks Mark, nice research. I wonder why my searches came up so empty last night? I chose the species from a photograph in the book mentioned and it only has a scattering of images and no alternatives. When I ran the name it literally came back as no hits. Maybe I misspelled it?
I like this link http://bie.ala.org.au/species/urn:lsid:biodiversity.org.au:afd.taxon:c9cc23c6-9b12-4871-859b-919d90d32414
Plenty on CSIRO. It seems your alternatives were H teratopa, H notatana. I think you chose the right one. http://www1.ala.org.au/gallery2/v/Oecophoridae/Oecophorinae/Hoplomorphanotatana/hoplomorpha_notatana_01.jpg.html http://www1.ala.org.au/gallery2/v/Oecophoridae/Oecophorinae/Hoplomorphateratopa/hoplomorpha_teratopa_01.jpg.html http://www1.ala.org.au/gallery2/v/Oecophoridae/Oecophorinae/Hoplomorphaabalienella/hoplomorpha_abalienella_01.jpg.html
Thanks Maria dB. It is an unusual one. The lack of references was a surprise too
