Small grass-like plant. Long, narrow leaves. Flowers brown with yellow, pollen-covered hairs (yellow pollen).

Habitat:

Sunken Meadow State Park, New York. Trailside in wooded area.

I think it is one of the Sedges or Fringe Rush
