Description:

The Barn Swallow is the most widespread species of swallow in the world. It is a distinctive passerine bird with blue upperparts, a long, deeply forked tail and curved, pointed wings. It is found in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.

Thanks guys, this was a very unique opportunity I stumbled onto while out seeking birds during my stay at the Falcon Point Ranch, there was a strong north wind and these birds were seeking shelter making them very easy to photograph as long as you remained quite still. In all, 3 species were present at this spot - Barn Swallow, Tree Swallow, and Northern Rough-winged Swallow.
Great shots Cody, especially as the ones I've seen only seem to sit still for seconds at a time if that!
