Field Notes

Description:

Large Kangaroo / Wallaby, reddish tint, with white cheeks. Ears are lined with a black line. The male seems to have a darker face then the females. Large tail that twists when they spotted us.
VEry very fast!

Habitat:

In a grass field near cows and a house. Near the coast of Etty Bay , Queensland, Australia.

Notes:

We first spotted one while driving and then we saw there were three. But when we went back to the car to get the binoculars we spotted several more. They kind of ran together into a further field where they started to observe us. They were happily grazing amongst the cows. We counted 8 in the end!
I am not sure whether these are Kangaroos or Wallabies.
