Description:

about 10cm legtip to legtip, white legs, brown abdomen, found on water

Habitat:

montane rainforest, small stream

Notes:

I spotted this huge water spider at night near our camp in montane rainforest near Pensiangan.

That's right, I have removed my suggestion because there are confirmed more than one species of Nilus spider in Borneo. Other species of this genus are still unidentified.
Thanks Chun. I've updated it just to the genus. I remembered when we talked, that is may be a different species because of the white legs.
Oh, by the way, according to my new guide book, this spider is moved to the Nilus genus.
