Description:

I accidentally scared this bird from her nest as I was walking across my pasture. She had two chicks in her nest. She flew a short distance and I quickly took pictures and left.

Habitat:

Pasture of prairie grass.

Thank you JenKnight! They are hard to see, I almost stepped on the nest and she flew up right in front of me. She is a very interesting bird.
