Field Notes

Description:

This small fly landed on our car windscreen. About 10mm overall length. High lumpy thorax. Plain wings. Banded abdomen. Well separated round eyes. Colours mostly pale orange and white.

Habitat:

In a small nature reserve next to a running creek.

Notes:

The most similar species image is the one on Wikimedia which was spotted about 200kms east https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Homoneura_sp02.jpg <br>
