Field Notes

Description:

Just after sunset we heard a huge commotion outside our window, We looked out but could see nothing, although the noise appeared to be coming from a nearby tree. Eventually I got out the flash gun and took some photographs of the tree. What at first looked like flowers turned out to be scores of these Bee-eaters!

Habitat:

Hotel tree at night.
