Description:

One of the Loon family. Common is mostly ID by the large straight dagger like bill and crest like forehead. Mostly found on water and rarely found on land. This one is beginning to get his breeding plumage.

Habitat:

In non-breeding season here they can be found along the coast and in inlets, bays and large lakes. This was found in a marina cove along the coast
