Thanks for the comment: it was not in a plantain or banana tree. Saw it near a campsite in national park Tayrona, so in rainforest but near human habitation. Spotted it at the base of a small palm tree, of which most leaves where cut. (by the way; NP Tayrona is overcrowded at the coast but inland it's nice and quiet). If old spottings are OK I have a few more to add, I will add as soon as I find the time. Since I live in Belgium my knowledge of Latin American reptiles and amphibians is limited; I will need some help with identification.
