Description:

Nectar and pollen from long leaves attracts many insects such as bees. It is a very aggressive species of plant, and they generally appear at the end of spring up until late fall.

Habitat:

Habitats include the following. Lawns, gardens, degraded meadows, vacant lots, and sunny areas along roads and railroads Throughout North America

Notes:

Can be used in food (salad) while they are young and fresh.
