Field Notes

Description:

Medium sized beetle. Black wings with a "golden pubescence". Rounded front of protonum with pink and yellow near the edges. Diurnal Firefly so doesn't light up.

Habitat:

Woodlands. Connetquot State Park, New York.

Notes:

Two individuals found on the same hike in different locations in the park.
