Field Notes

Description:

The female has a brown back with a gray belly that has streaking on the sides and at the throat. There is a brown cap on the top of the head, and white streaks on either side of it, just above the eyes. The bill is think and pink.

Habitat:

Migrating through the area, she was found at the local park feeding in the trees.

Notes:

This was a lifer for me, and I was a little upset it wasn't the male since they are so much prettier. Can't be too picky though, I guess!
