Description:

Foraging quite happy through the leaf litter, they had red eyes.

Ooooooh lovely, cheers, they didn't run away! Just fully ignored us and carried on! :)
Good observation on the red eye, which is pretty diagnostic for this bird. They are mud-nest builders and are often seen foraging on the ground. The white is only seen with open wings.
These are great birds to watch. They hang around in big groups and will run away from you rather than fly at first. When they fly, these apparently all black birds have white spots on their wings. Love them!
