What an excellent fox! I love the last photo! :-)
Fun fact! The Arctic fox is perfectly adapted to the harsh environment that it inhabits; The soles of its feet are furry, providing insulation against the snow that covers the Arctic tundra for much of the year, and its short ears and muzzle also help it survive temperatures as low as –58°F (-50°C). Arctic foxes live in burrows, and in a blizzard they may tunnel into the snow to create shelter; they also use their thick brush (tail) to cover their bodies when they are sleeping to stay warm. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152786966955603&set=a.10152575329380603.958289.10150120463815603&type=1 https://twitter.com/projectnoah/status/330407840361627649
Awww so cute! The Point Defiance Zoo is near where I live, but I never knew they had the Arctic Fox! You know where I'm going this weekend. :-)
Pretty. I have been to Point Defiance many times but never took the time to go to the zoo
