Description:

Hypocysta adiante is a satyrine butterfly endemic to Australia. It is a small dainty species (wingspan ca. 3 cm), easily recognized by its orange color and broad dark-brown margins on the upperside. The underside of the hindwing displays two prominent black eyespots ringed with silver, a silver subterminal line and a small silver spot next to the subtornal eyespot.

Habitat:

These butterflies are usually found in open grassy habitats. Adults sip nectar from flowers and larvae feed on grasses
