thanks mr bee again. they are really looked alike. in term of size and behavior... but these group of bees, they are not blue at all...
They might be Amegilla - the 'blue banded bee' I mentioned on you other bee spotting. Sometimes they are not very blue and the yellow looks like pollen maybe. The eyes certainly look like Amegilla. Both your bees are special finds... well done.
johan, it's amazing that we spotted similar bee with similar behavior in such a far distance of our earth ^^
argyBee, i found them in templestowe, melbourne. and they were resting on a dry reed right next to a pond

Do you know what they were resting on? What type of plant?
