Field Notes

Description:

Black bird, rather a triangular bill and a prominent red patch on the wing

Habitat:

Usually found in flocks and nests near marshes. I can't remember in my lifetime when I have seen a red-winged Blackbird come to any of my feeders, but this one did.

Notes:

I still see him on occasion, but have taken down my winter feeders. He seems to like our pine trees.
