Field Notes

Description:

These birds are 14 to 15 cm long and are, overall, gray. Both genders have crests, but the male's is darker. The flanks are rusty while the belly is whitish.

Habitat:

Common throughout its range where trees exist. I photographed this one in dense thorn forest.
