Description:

Photo take in my backyard this is maybe the same one i spot tree days ago, i find them by the intense noises they made, is my first Trogons, It easily is distinguished by its solid black upperparts, black tail with broad white tips to the outer rectrices, and dark eye with a pale blue eye ring. Males are glossy above, though the sheen is frequently difficult to see on birds foraging in the upper canopy.

Habitat:

Open habitats, including plantations, secondary forest, gallery forest, and seasonally deciduous forests.

Thanks so much Argy is very rare to see them they have visit the yard for almost a week and now they left and indeed is a very interesting family. There is fossils from 40 million old from this birds.
Excellent set of pics Gerardo. You're lucky to have such beautiful birds visit your home. I have not heard of this family - none in Australia :-(
