Field Notes

Description:

Medium-sized, secretive vireo with olive-green upperparts, and white underparts with yellow sides and flanks. Spectacles are pale yellow and iris is white. Wings are dark with two white bars. Legs and feet are gray. Flight is fast and direct on short, rounded wings.

Habitat:

Woods in wildlife habitat yard overlooking Belton Lake.

Notes:

The tree leaves were wet, and this bird was having a bath in the water droplets on the leaves.
