Field Notes

Description:

This very colorful sea anemone was found in the tide pools at Ocean Beach. It was attached to the crevices of rocks or on the walls of rocks. There were numerous sea anemones in the area ranging from small to large. :)

Habitat:

Sea anemones are found all over the world, ranging for shallow coastal waters to the ocean deps! They are commonly found in tide pools attached to rocks or under rocks. They try to avoid direct sunlight, and they are able to retract their tentacles if they sense danger!

Notes:

Went with a group of friends to Ocean Beach!
