Paul Davis you can take a look here: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/1141996012 Thanks
Neat find! I agree that both look like mantid nymphs. These would be nice additions to the Marvelous Mantids of the World mission: http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/15738247
Thankyou both for your suggestions ,I will split the sightings in case they are different species,.
I would say Mantis nymph, some nymphs are typically ant-mimics and Odontomantis might be one candidate. Nymphs are tricky to ID. I am not sure that both are from the same species. Maybe you make different spottings with link from one to the other. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ant-Mantis.jpg http://myitchyfingers.wordpress.com/2009/12/page/2/ http://www.photographersdirect.com/buyers/stockphoto.asp?imageid=2986197
