Field Notes

Description:

A small, tan frog with a green triangle between the eyes and green down the middle of the back. The back legs are fairly thick and have dark bars on them. A very common frog throughout much of its range, and their call sounds like hitting two rocks together.

Habitat:

Found in swampy areas near water.

I found loads of their tadpoles earlier today though so at least that should mean loads more frogs even if it is just one species! http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/23071003 Thanks, wherever I go I try and find some, the best ones I found were in Guyana and Trinidad!
That stinks :/ Frogs are my favorite thing ever! I hope you get to travel to a place with lots of frogs :)
well they are great photos! I love frogs but we only have one species here :-(
Thanks Debbie! It does look like that :) These guys are really variable, but I chose to take pictures of one with a lot of green since they are prettier than just the brown ones!
Nice spotting Ashley, looks a bit like someone caught him with a green paintbrush by mistake! :-)
