Description:

The British sub species varies slightly form the ones found on the continent but is unmistakenly identifiable with its striking red face and breast. Its regarded as one of Britain's favourite birds. It has a very cheerful song and is around 5-5 1/2".

Habitat:

seen at Potteric Carr nature reserve, owned by Yorkshire wildlife trust.
