Description:

The female has a gray-brown back with white underparts. There is a brown color around the neck and extends up to the eyes. The bill is long and straight.

Habitat:

Found at the local park.

Nice shot Ashley! These birds are unusual because the female is colorful and the male is drab, plus once the female lays her eggs, the male sits on the nest and takes care of the chicks.
