Description:

To me appears to have a bill like a bowerbird but it is not an Australian bird unless it is a Juvenile Satin Bowerbird (Male). The olive green plumage has thrown me. Can anyone enlighten me?

Habitat:

Currumbin Bird Sanctuary - Gold Coast

Notes:

He's looking more like a Satin Bowerbird to me now.

I was wondering what the male looked like when the plumage changed. This is definitely a male, and no longer a juvenile. This fellow would be about 6 to 7 years old. Prior to that, juvenile males look exactly like the females. Good spotting, Kerry.

I'd say juvenile Male from the beak colour. It might be changing from juvenile to adult male

Yes Liam, The green plumage could suggest this could be either male or female although there does seem to be more black - so maybe male?

Blue eyes seem to suggest Satin Bowerbird, though I'm not sure on age/sex.
