I spotted this in the forest near Batu Punggul, a limestone outcrop deep in the jungle of Sabah.

I see one labelled as C. clarkei online but most are white in color so I'm not sure if it's that. You're certainly in the right direction, it's the Gesneriaceae family.
It's a beautiful flower, for sure
