Description:

This is Snorkel,a rescued turtle at my work :). She arrived as a baby having washed up on our Uk coasts ,almost blind ,deformed and with epilepsy ,the NMA keep her safe and medicated in a beautiful and massive enclosure that mimics her natural habitat ! We wanted to share her story ,she is coming up to 27years of age now and still wowing us all!

Hi Gilma , It was decided that were she returned to the wild her untreated epilepsy would kill her very quickly . When turtles fit ..they lock up their flippers and sink like a stone,so she would have drowned. It was put to a conservation board on what to do , and they thought giving her a chance to live a long life was important :)
