Field Notes
Description:
It flies low in a darting style, keeping close to the ground. The males are frequently found around cow dung and damp patches. Also seen landing on protruding twigs.
Habitat:
It is not an uncommon species and can be found in low and mid countries up to the elevation of 4000 feet but rare above 1200 m. These butterflies are usually spotted in forest glades and forest edges
Notes:
The larvae feed on Allophyllus cobbe of family Sapindaceae.
