Field Notes

Description:

Series 2 of the unknown beetle.
I'm adding some close pictures as I am following the growth of larva to pupa until it evolves into a adult beetle. Just curious ... different parts of the beetle beginning to get shape rapidly, the feelers, legs, wings, the "Schnaut" ... amazing. I had to use some yellowish soft light as these little pupa reflect light like a mirror. In real tone they are bright milkish white, almost like matted glass ... can't load up more pictures than this :-)

Habitat:

In the soil under the strawberryplants.
