Field Notes

Description:

yellow beak, orange head, white body, black and white feathers, light pink bun of feathers at the back, dark pink/light maroon legs.height about 3-3.5 feet while standing. found this one alone, with no spotting of similar kinds in near vicinity...not sure if they are loners... :). wing span was like 3.5 feet wide.

Habitat:

near water body, moving around in water

Notes:

this birdie was moving around freely in the water and feasting on fishes.....very smooth and slow moves......waits for the fish to arrive, and than gulps the whole portion with the fish in it.
