Description:
Low growing, perennial wildflower. Very hairy leaves and stems. Flowers have five deeply lobed, white petals. Reddish to green stems. Leaves are rounded and resemble the shape of a mouse ear.
Habitat:
Suburban backyard garden and lawn. Grows in disturbed areas.
Notes:
Young leaves are edible (recommended to be boiled). Also has a history of being used medicinally. Generally considered a weed. Originally introduced from Eurasia but now naturalized.
